DAY 2 QUITO CITY TOUR & MIDDLE OF THE WORLD (B)
After breakfast, you will go back in time a couple of hundred years while driving around the colonial section of Quito and admire architectural monuments, such as La Basilica church, Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, and the colonial churches.
Following, you will either go to the “Middle of the World City,” where the monument that divides the Northern from the Southern Hemisphere stands; it was built during the XVII century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the equatorial line. Or, the “Intiñan Museum”, known as the Equinox Solar Museum, you choose. (Overnight in Quito).
DAY 3 TRANSPORT AIRPORT TO HOTEL – CHATO RESERVE (B)
After breakfast, you will be transported to Quito Airport for your Galapagos flight. Once you arrive in Galapagos at the Baltra Airport, our staff will meet you. They will transport you to your hotel; located in Santa Cruz Island. Once settled, you will visit the highlands of Santa Cruz Island, which offer important attractions thanks to its climate and vegetation. This tropical rain forest has a very different landscape than the lowlands. Following you will visit El Chato Reserve, which is located in the Santa Rosa sector. Our tour lets you see the huge Galapagos tortoises in their natural habitat and visit a natural lava tunnel, which you can go through thanks to the soft lighting installed by the owners of the ranch.
DAY 4: STA. CRUZ- TORTUGA BAY BEACH – CHARLES DARWIN STATION (BREAKFAST-LODGEMENT) (B)
After breakfast, you will visit Tortuga Bay beach. It is one of the largest beaches of white sand of the archipelago. It`s an excellent place for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, surfing or simply walking. The marine iguanas, sharks and sea turtles can be seen alongside a small trail suitable for visitors and migratory birds can be seen walking along the coast.
STATION CHARLES DARWIN – Later on, you`ll visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and its interpretive Center. With the help of the IUCN, UNESCO, and conservationists worldwide, the Charles Darwin Foundation was found under the Belgian Law in 1959. Since then, CDF has been instrumental in stabilizing the ecosystem and preserving the natural wonders the island offers.
DAY 5: STA. CRUZ – A.M. TOUR DE BAHIA (BREAKFAST- LODGEMENT) (B)
Early breakfast, you will be pick up at 8:00 a.m. This tour will take you to different places such’s as: the CHANNEL OF SHARKS, an arm of crystal-clear sea where sharks, sea lions and frigates are found in the surrounding area. IGUANA BEACH: where a large concentration of marine iguanas and blue-footed boobies are located, and the LOVE CANAL; crystalline waters, that is a private and romantic place. Afternoon Free!
DAY 6: SANTE FE ISLAND – BEACH LANDING (B, L)
After breakfast, you will sail for an hour to Santa Fe Island. From the yacht, you’ll be able to see the colonies of sea birds, such as pelicans, boobies, gulls, and many sea lions. The calm sea is perfect for snorkeling. You will experience swimming with manta rays, tropical fishes, and sometimes sea turtles. Lunch will be provided on board, and once arriving on a white-sand beach, you’ll be able to relax, take pictures, and enjoy the Galapagos sun. In addition, you can enjoy experiential fishing on the island.
DAY 7: TRANSPORT OUT – AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast, you will take a bus or taxi back to the airport for your flight back to Quito. Once you arrive, you are met by our representative and are provided transportation to your hotel in Quito.
DAY 08. TRANSPORT OUT (B)
After breakfast, transport to the airport for your international flight.
